This is the year I do it

Welcome 2012!

This is the year I win the battle. I am getting my act together. Finally. I am ready. I've spent the last two years really struggling and losing all the ground I had gained. But I am ready for action!!

January 1st I weighed in at 226.0
This morning I weighed in at 222.8. I think I'm off to a great start!!

I am varying up the raw vegan diet I did before, like 75% raw vegan. I had sushi today for lunch, but the spicy tuna spring roll kind, so no rice. I will indulge in that at least once a week. I also had roasted red pepper hummus yesterday (I dip carrots and celery into it) and I'll be eating a lot of that with veggies as a snack. I'll also be getting  protein from greek style yogurt. I have mixed feelings about dairy, so I'm compromising with myself by having the greek style yogurt. Weird? I'm ok with that.

Big bowl of fruit in the morning. This is really just the optimal way to start the day. I'm working on cutting back/down on the Diet Coke. Ideally I'll just having it once a week at the movies. But I'm weaning off it because of the headaches and migraines. I can't go just cold turkey.

I need to get back on the elliptical. I am promising myself that tomorrow I am doing it. No matter what. Even if it's just a slow 20 minutes going through the motions. I need to get back in the habit of working out in the morning.

I broke out the bodybugg and will be wearing it every day for accountability. I'm going full board here and I need to make sure I have enough calories going in and burning off.

I found out that Netflix has Biggest Loser seasons 1-12 on instant queue! So now I can watch that during all my workouts, which I'm totally psyched about!

Here are my admittedly somewhat unrealistic goals:

Get under 200 by February 1st.
Get down into the 180s by our Disneyland trip on February 20th
Get down into the 160s by Las Vegas trip on April 6th
Get down into the 140s by Memorial Day
Hit goal weight 125 by August 21, when I go visit my bro for his 40th b-day.

I'm going to work really really hard and do my best. I do think that hitting 125 by August 21st is doable. That's 101 pounds in 8 and a half months.
I can totally do that!!
